Rune Altars are needed to craft runes on. The different elements of rune altars are located in very different locations.

Tip: If you like a challenge, then you could just right click on the talisman of the alter you are finding, and click "Locate". This will tell you what direction you must go to find the altar.

	Air Altar	View Map	West of Varrock. Follow the path west then just before the bridge it is south of the path.
	Mind Altar	View Map	North of Falador. Follow the path north from Falador to the east then north west onto the grass.
	Water Altar	View Map	Lumbridge Swamp. It is located in the southern part of lumbridge swamp, in the middle.
	Earth Altar	View Map	North east of Varrock. Follow the path east of out Varrock then go north.
	Fire Altar	View Map	Just outside/west of the Dual Arena. North of Al Kharid.
	Body Altar	View Map	West of Barbarian Village, south of the Monastry.
	Cosmic Altar	View Map	In the Lost City of Zanaris. From the west side of Zanaris, follow the path south right till the end.
	Chaos Altar	View Map	In the Wilderness, north of Edgeville and south east of Dark Warriors' Fortress
	Astral Altar	View Map	South east of Lunar Isle. You should know this location from the Lunar Diplomacy quest.
	Nature Altar	View Map	On Karamja island. Located north of Shilo village.
	Law Altar	View Map	Located north east of Entrana.
	Death Altar	-	On the bottom floor of The Temple of Light.
	Ourania/ZMI Altar	View Map	South from West Ardougne. West of the Battlefield. Once inside, follow the path. Beware of monsters
	Blood Altar	-	Under Castle Drakan, accessed during the Legacy of Seergaze quest. Entrance is in the Meiyerditch Dungeon.
